War and Horses | Illustrated Novel | Break Kickstarter

A weird western illustrated novel set in the Children of Gaia fantasy universe. Deep in the dustbowl of the newly formed Republic of Draven, the old aristocracy coexists with a new democratic government in an uneasy peace that’s often broken by conflict. Famine and drought wrack the once-fertile region—and violence is a spark to dry grass. Into the midst of the chaos walks a shadowy figure: the Triggerman. The only thing certain about him is that he leaves a trail of chaos in his wake. Following that trail is writer Landon Ford, a journalist documenting the Triggerman’s exploits and digging for the truth of his identity. "War & Horses" is Ford’s work: a series of dime-store books popular in both Terra and the new world of Rendaraia...and whispered by some to be ridiculous fiction. But the Triggerman is very real—and his true purpose may become the story of Ford’s life. "War & Horses" is the second full-length book in the Children of Gaia series, following "The Great Nations of Rendaraia" and two short comics: "Refuge" and "Carrying Iron."

We've reanimated the corpse of the campaign to fund Act 1 of Mr. Guy and the Origins Anthology! It's shambling along right now at Kickstarter, and it needs your help to reach its goal.

Collect your download of Grivante's Zee Brothers: Zombie Exterminators when you pledge during the first 24 hours! Welp, we did not make our goal for the Kickstarter to fund Mr. Guy and the Origins Anthology. But if the grit and strength of the Triggerman have taught us anything, it's that you don't give up when you're down. Instead, you get back up. And then you kick some ass. So, we're taking a page out of his book and formulating a plan that's so awesome, we're even more excited now than we were before! So excited that we made a video to tell you about it:

Here's the deal: We're going to transfer the over $7K of momentum into a relaunched campaign to fund these projects—on August 10! We're setting ourselves a lower goal this time of just $5K, so that if every one of you amazing, wonderful, beautiful pledges to the new campaign on the first day—August 10—we'll demolish the $5K goal and start collecting stretch goals right away! Together, we'll make this our best Kickstarter ever! We're going to offer even more and better rewards, first-day perks, and gooey, delicious stretch goals. It's going to be amazing.

Right now, we're preparing the relaunch—create new art and marketing materials, submitting the relaunch for Kickstarter's review, and generally preparing the world for the badassery of the new campaign. So, mark your calendars for August 10, and hold on to your butts. This is going to be great.
